The L28 was delivered in 1951 to the Munich police department (Bereitschaftspolizei) where it had been in use until the early 1970th, the last years for the police driver school. Than the fire department of Neustadt/Aisch bought it and painted it red. In 1995 it went to a private collection and in 2014 it finally came to the Hanomag IG. They overhauled the engine and did some minor jobs at the body. The seats and the folding top still are original. The vehicle has 12 seats. It is occasionally used for demonstration rides. (KH)
